Safety & Etiquette

At A Space 2 Breathe, we want you to fully enjoy the benefits of our sauna and cold plunge while ensuring a safe, relaxing, and respectful environment for everyone. Please review the following safety guidelines and etiquette tips before your visit:

Safety Guidelines

  1. Stay Hydrated:
Drink plenty of water before, during, and after your sessions to prevent dehydration. Herbal teas or electrolyte-rich drinks are also great options.

  2. Know Your Limits:
Listen to your body. If you feel lightheaded, dizzy, or uncomfortable during the sauna or cold plunge, stop immediately and rest in a cool or warm area as needed.

  3. Time Your Sessions:

    • Sauna: Limit each sauna session to 12–15 minutes or less if you’re new to it. Take breaks to cool down between sessions.

    • Cold Plunge: Spend 30 seconds to 2 minutes in the cold plunge, depending on your comfort level and experience. Avoid prolonged exposure.

  4. Health Considerations:
Sauna and cold plunge therapy may not be suitable for individuals who are pregnant, have heart conditions, high or low blood pressure, or other medical concerns. If you’re unsure, consult your doctor before participating.

  5. Rewarm Gradually:
After each cold plunge, warm up slowly with a robe, towel, or by returning to the sauna to prevent sudden temperature shifts.

  6. Using the Cold Plunge Independently:
If you are using the cold plunge outside of a guided session, please note that you do so at your own risk. Be mindful of your limits and exercise caution to ensure a safe experience.

Etiquette Tips

  1. Shower Before Entering:
Please shower before your sauna or cold plunge to maintain hygiene and keep the space clean for others.

  2. Dress Appropriately:
Wear swimwear or wrap yourself in a towel during the sessions.

  3. Respect Quiet Time:
Both the sauna and cold plunge are spaces for relaxation and reflection. Keep conversations to a minimum or enjoy the silence.

  4. Limit Fragrances:
Avoid using strong perfumes or scented products that could affect the atmosphere or others’ comfort.

  5. Use Towels on Benches:
Sit or lie on a towel in the sauna to keep the benches clean and dry for everyone.

  6. Share the Space:
Be mindful of others in the sauna or cold plunge area. Ensure everyone has enough space to enjoy their session.

  7. Leave the Space Tidy:
Take all personal items with you and leave the sauna and cold plunge area as you found them

By following these safety and etiquette guidelines, you’ll ensure a safe, enjoyable, and transformative experience for yourself and others. Let’s create a space of relaxation, respect, and renewal together.
